New Art Books for Andor, The Acolyte and More Unveiled at Star Wars Celebration Japan
It's been a long time since the last proper Star Wars art book has been published. Now a whole slew of new releases are coming our way. Get ready for The Art of Andor and more!
For a brief moment, it looked as if Lucasfilm had forgotten about its wonderful The Art of series, which takes us behind the scenes of the galaxy far, far away. In recent years, Abrams Books has published concept art books to accompany all the major Star Wars projects, from the theatrical films to the live action series on Disney+.
Since 2022, however, we have been waiting in vain for an update from this area. At Star Wars Celebration Japan, new releases were finally unveiled as part of the Lucasfilm Publishing panel, most notably The Art of Andor by Phil Szostak, which will cover both seasons of the acclaimed Star Wars series.
The Art of Andor by Phil Szostak announced at Star Wars Celebration Japan
Szostak needs one more introduction at this point. He wrote the art books for The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker as well as Solo and the first two seasons of The Mandalorian. Now he dives into the world of Ferrix, the ISB and Narkina 5 and shows us the stunning concept art behind the series.
The book comes with a cover based on a concept art by Vincent Jenkins:
The official description of the art book states:
Lucasfilm’s Phil Szostak brings us yet another gorgeous art book, this time fully immersing fans in the complex, dangerous, and rebellious world of the acclaimed Disney+ series, Andor. The fully comprehensive coffee table book, covering both Season 1 and Season 2, will be available March 2026.
Creator and showrunner Tony Gilroy wrote the foreword.
